More fun with John Bird

Hey everybody.

I went out the other day to Baker Beach with John Bird. The day was looking pretty shitty, but it miraculously cleared up, so the picture taking conditins were Ideal. John was trying Back Noseblunts on the big bank:



This bank is ridiculus. It's pretty steep with an ackward run up and crazy rough ground. John was getting pretty tired, but I made him keep going becuase there was no way I was giving up a shot with the bridge in the background. It was too perfect.

Darkroom Fun

I have been spending some time in the darkroom latley. Here are my latest prints.


Alex had a song he wanted to record, so he pack up all his equipment and we went over to Dominic's apartment. Super fun day. Just hanging out playing music and coming up with crazy ways different instruments. We all ended up singing gang vocals for his song. We also didnt have a drum set, so the beat consists of me beating a bass case on the ground while Cameron rapped his knuckles on a guitar case.

Dominic is an anomaly of a person. He came out of a troubled upbringing and ended up one of the most lighthearted people I have ever met. He is a beautiful songwriter as well. But he was having some trouble. Haven't seen him in a long time, but I hear he is doing better now.

Alright, this weekend started with myself and Mr. Huerta running into JR and Abner at Rusch Bump. From there we headed, along with a whole slew of San Jose heads, to Safeway rail. Now, if you don't know about Safeway Rail, imagine the toughest bastard ever, and turn him into a hand rail. JR tried to Nollie over the beast, but ended up getting wrecked. He'll go back eventually.



From there we headed to the gap right next to Roseville Triple. This San Jose dude pulled a pretty sick ollie:

On Sunday, Joe and I met up with Phil and Sean and went to Rusch Bump again. Phil was tryin Nollie Flips:

In memory of Lucian Gregg

Lucian was one of the most kind and loving individuals I had ever met. There are few people who enjoyed life more than he did. He will live on forever in our memories and our hearts.

Happy New Years!

Hey everybody! Poinski's back in Sacramento for winter break. Already I have been out shooting for some people, shooting sme ads and just foolin around.

Yesterday, I traveled to West Sac with the Smash Hit team. Tristen Moss has been so far ad-less, so we were detemined to change that. We got out there and he started tearing it up with a Front Smith:

Today I headed out to Pioneer with Creature rider Taylor Bingaman. He blasted this clean kickflip over the 8 stair rail:

Back in Sac!

I came back to Sacto for Thanksgiving break. It was cool. I got to skate with some people I haven't skated with in a while.

First thing I did when I got back was head out to the ever-famous Rusch Bump in Roseville. Huerta wanted to get a photo of a fakie flip, which he had already landed:


A couple days later, Huerta and I met up is Urke and went to the Wallride spot on R and 2nd. Again to shoot a photo of a trick already landed. Here Urke pulls a front 5-O on the wall 30 feet above raging traffic:
